A healthy school lunch is so important to the success of a student both in and out of the classroom. We are so grateful our food service department takes such care in providing healthy choices for our students!
Our menu for the week is:
Monday: Breakfast for Lunch - sausage, egg patty, English muffins, oranges and veggie drink
Tuesday: Meat and Cheese Enchiladas, rice, refried beans, salsa and pears
Wednesday: Pulled pork, Mac & Cheese, roasted squash, bread stick, mixed berries
Thursday: Asian Beef and Broccoli, rice, cooked carrots, fortune cookies & peaches
Friday: Chicken strips, dinner rolls, apple slices and mixed veggies.

We had a great week learning all about fire safety. As we continue the rest of the year, we encourage you and your students to keep fire safety at the front of your mind.
A few things you can do for your home:
- Have a fire escape plan
- Ensure all smoke detectors and fire extinguishers are up-to-date
- Blow out candles before leaving the room
- Take precautions with lithium batteries

Join us from 6pm-7pm as we focus on our elementary math and literacy goals. We will have a featured session for parents to attend with our guest author, Julia Cook. She will also have the opportunity to speak to 3rd and 4th grade students at school earlier in the day. If you are interested in one of her books, she will have some available for purchase.
Teachers and Volunteer NHS High School Students will be present to supervise the math and literacy stations available for the students.
There will be no childcare for infants and toddlers. See you tomorrow!
As we enter into National Fire Prevention week, remember safe practices you can implement in your home.
This year, the focus is safety around lithium batteries. Remember to charge them on hard surfaces and don't leave lithium devices plugged in longer than necessary.

We are proud to share that one of our own, Evan Scheck, is a Carnegie HERO Nominee.

Earlier this month we had our first Together We Read Event of the year! Students stopped for 15 minutes during their day to prioritize reading. 📚
Reading helps grow our minds and shapes imagination. Keep it up and make reading a part of every week!
