Announcing: New Hours at the Spencer Schools Food Pantry! 📢
Starting Tuesday, September 15th, the school food pantry will be open on Tuesdays from 4:00-6:00pm in addition to our afternoon hours on Wednesdays from 12:00-2:00 when school is in session.
What: School Food Pantry
Where: Located at the Middle School - door 10 on the north side of the building
When: Tuesdays 4:00-6:00 and Wednesdays 12:00-2:00
Who: Families of school aged children in the Spencer Community School District
Families must meet the eligibility requirements as shown in this link: https://hhs.iowa.gov/media/5929/download?inline

#SpencerReads is bringing you the first Together We Read event of the year!
On September 9 all Spencer Students will take just a few minutes of their day and read at the same time. We also encourage YOU, the community to join in this effort, knowing that we have the best chance of achieving the district's literacy goals, if together we make reading a priority.
Take on this challenge and take 15 minutes to read no matter where you are.
Post a photo and use the hashtag #SpencerReads to be entered into a raffle for a book of your choice!

Please anticipate potential delays for afternoon drop-offs as drivers, school staff, and students adjust to dismissal procedures. Dismissal loading always takes a little extra time on day one while students find their assigned buses and routines settle in.
Schedules will smooth out quickly over the next few days.
