 Dear Parents and Guardians:

 Preschool applications are being accepted for the 2024-2025 school year. Applications will be an online process. Please go to Online Registration Be certain to use the registration year 2024-2025.

            Upon completion of the application you will receive an email that your application was successfully submitted. A second email will be sent to let you know that the application has been put on hold for final approval. A third email will come out in April with approval of that application. Documents that should be submitted or approved during the application process:

❏     Home Language Survey

❏     Migrant Form

❏     Birth Certificate (emailed, faxed or photo to the Johnson Elementary Office)

 Please be sure that you have an email address in your application. The email will also be used to notify you of any additional information throughout the spring.

Option A: Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program

Full Day Programs for 4 Year-Olds

●        Age Guidelines:  Must be 4 by September 15; Cannot turn 5 before September 15

●        Days and Hours:  All day program Monday through Friday (Wednesdays are morning only; childcare Wednesday afternoon optional but included in monthly cost)

○        Cost $150/month ($100 for families that qualify for free/reduced)

○        Early Childhood Iowa Lakes Region scholarships are available for all-day program students

●        Additional Costs:  lunch and afternoon milk

●        Transportation:  Provided before and after school to Trinity and YMCA through Spencer Community Schools transportation and bus routes via bus stops

Option B: Statewide Voluntary Preschool Program

Half Day Program for 4 Year-Olds

●        Age Guidelines:  Must be 4 by September 15; Cannot turn 5 before September 15

●        Days and Hours:  Monday through Friday 8:15am-11:30am

○        Cost: funded by the statewide voluntary program grant (free)

●        Additional Costs:  Free - no lunch

●        Transportation:  Transportation provided in mornings only at bus stops.  No transportation at 11:30am.
