Preschoolers at Johnson Elementary had a special visit from Bree the Naturalist, who taught them all about how animals survive in winter! 
Students learned which animals truly hibernate - like bats, badgers, snakes, and ground squirrels - and which enter a lighter rest called torpor, such as bears and raccoons.
